The Geeetech i3 pro b has issues with filament handling.

Post by stud22 » Sat May 29, 2021 2:47 pm

Hello there, I recently purchased a geeetech i3 pro b, a Chinese prusa clone. I figured out how to fix all of the common issues with it, and I was able to get it to print in excellent quality. However, I discovered that it would only function with one filament at a time, and that switching filaments would necessitate a lot of calibration.

I recently purchased a used Lulzbot mini v2 and it works perfectly with all filaments with only one setting. The geeetech one couldn't even print a black pla I had, but the lulzbot handled it perfectly. I can send pictures if requested.

Hello, i3prob has only one extruder, and it is normal that only one filament can be used. If it is two extruders, two consumables can be used at the same time.

Hello,

The breakage of the filament is one of the most significant process errors in FDM and may cause several malfunctions such as nozzle clogging, geometrical misalignments or manufacturing failure.

In general,MyAARPMedicare PLA filament settings have an optimal printing PLA temperature range from about 185C to about 205C. If you're using 1.75mm as opposed to thicker 2.85mm (or 3.00mm) your optimal print will be closer to the lower end of this PLA filament temperature range.

It is only through some post-processing techniques that a smooth appearance can be achieved.
