Layer shifting on the y axis.

Post by joefitz_1997@yahoo.com » Fri Jul 17, 2020 10:26 pm

Hey everyone! So I’ve had my a10m for a few years now and now all of a sudden I am having really bad layer shifting. I’ve tried slowing the print, making sure its not bumping, adjusting the tension, and even adding a z hop, but when I set that setting it won’t run the print. I use cura as my processing software, and the shifts are always on the y axis. I’m starting to think about replacing the stepper motor. Any ideas?

Have you tried reducing your jerk via the control screen?

Cura also has a jerk control setting, though I fixed my y-axis shifts by changing the value y jerk via the machine's control knob and screen.
