Extruder making noise and don't move after a few

Post by Zolric » Mon Jan 27, 2020 2:31 pm

Hi,
My Extruder making noise and don't move after a few printing time.
After cleaning the PLA and start the printing the first layer generally goes well, but after the noise is starting and I see the motor is struggling.
It looks like a plastic jam...
If I help the wire during the printing, it goes well...
Can you tell me how to fix that?

Hi, You can check if your extruder motor line is pressed, and then see if your extruder motor can run normally.
if the Extruder motor can't run normally, you can try swapping the normal motor wire with the extruder motor wire.
-Keep your mind and try to test it. :)

Hi,You can check 1.whether your extruder motor can run normally,
2. the spring tension of the feeder,
3.and whether the voltage of the corresponding drive board of the extruder motor is in the range of 0.8-1.2V.
-Keep your mind and try to test it. :)

Hi Zolric,
In case you were not aware...
You can get an aluminium replacement version very cheap on ebay !
This is better than the plastic version.
Gerry

Example on UK ebay would be
ebay item number 143490328137
