Hello,
Slic3r is actually not included in the 1.6 version of repetierhost for linux downloaded from http://www.geeetech.com/wiki/index.php/ ... t#Download
so i installed slic3r (last version) by hand, but could not launch it from repetierhost.
Something else i tried is to install an appimage : the 2.05 version of repetierhost from https://www.repetier.com/
then everything is all right except that slic3r will crash when i load your I3proB PLA .ini config file
so ... what should i do ?
regards
slic3r not included with repetierhost1.6 on linux
Re: slic3r not included with repetierhost1.6 on linux
The problem was that for linux one should NOT install the last version of slic3r (1.3.0) but the previous stable one (1.2.9)

Unfortunately you don't mention which distribution of Linux you are running so I can only give you information as to what works on Linux Mint 18.3.
I use Slic3r as a stand alone program rather than from within Repetier-Host and dsave the Gcode file generated. The best current version is Slic3r-1.39.1-prusa3d which is available here:
https://github.com/prusa3d/Slic3r/releases
Installing this with your software manager will give a version which runs from the CLI.
You will require to install the following dependencies to enable Slic3r to work within a GUI:
wx-common
libopengl-perl
libwx-glcanvas-perl
See Ubuntu forum https://forum.lulzbot.com/viewtopic.php?t=5437
Repetier Host is now at Version 2.0.5, available from: https://www.repetier.com/ as you mention, I use it to print the Gcode generated above over a USB link.
Note that you will need the Mono develop package collection (Mono Complete) installed to make the libraries available otherwise Repetier won't start.
I've had Slic3r crash when the Print Settings Configuration file tries to do something impossible with the print I'm slicing, maybe the STL file you're slicing has errors in it?
You can always try using the default config file, does it work? I'm still learning by trial and error after using it for a year!
