Hi there,
I'm trying to make my first3D print. My objects come out really strange, and I think Slic3r is part of the problem. Please look at the below images, there are some additive part that slic3r adds. What is wrong here?
Thanks,

Re: [Slic3r] Slic3r is making strange Gcode file
The top image looks like a view from within Repetier-Host perhaps? The dark blue is the 3D print, the light blue lines are the repositioning travel moves and the two lines drawn round the cube are skirt drawn round the print (very useful for ensuring the filament's being extruded properly before the print starts.)
The image definitely looks weird, try ensuring the travel moves are not displayed in Repetier.
What version of Slic3r are you using? You could try Slic3r Prusa Edition 1.39.1 and see if it's different, get it here:

Hope that's of some use.

Did Repetier give any warnings about non-manifold files? It looks like the problem may be the model.

This looks like the standard 20mm test cube which should slice without problem.

Try printing something else like this minimug to see if it exhibits the same sort of problems.

What does it look like once you've sliced it?

Re: [Slic3r] Slic3r is making strange Gcode file
I installed stand-alone Slic3r and it now slices perfectly. The Slic3r plugin in repetier Host for mac doesn't work well for me. So I run Slic3r, export Gcode, and run it on repetier to print. A bit longer, but my objects don't look like Alien craps ^^
Thanks,
