Maybe you need to install the driver for your board.

Hi William, is a year that i use this PC with the printer... every driver is already installed, but when i connect the USB on the PC there are no sign that something is connected, i've also try to connect on another PC and the problem is the same......
On your opinion there is a component that if broken can cause this behaviour?

Maybe you need to use other USB cables to check. And Maybe the Mega2560 is not OK.
