E3D bowden extruder on i3 Prob
Has anyone tried to upgrade MK8 extruder/hotend on Geeetech prusa i3 prob B to E3D hotend with direct or Bowden external extruder?
Re: E3D bowden extruder on i3 Prob
Hi PrinterHacker
Actually I will change my Geeetech Pro IA3 to external bowden extruder. I will try to use the Geeetech hotend, not the E3D, but if this will be fail, I will order the V6 hotend.
Why the change?
The direct drive doesn´t work with the cheap filament, because the stepper will be stop or stuck by getting the cheap filament from role. I print the 4th time a 24h print and always getting crashes, because the filament doesn´t roll clean form spool. So I hope to get a solution if the extruder is external.
I think this will not be a problem to get working. I extend my Geeetech with auto-leveling with an induct sensor. Then I will get running this external extruder, too.
