Problem with Extruder of M201

Post by khondoke » Thu Sep 01, 2016 7:49 am

Hello, the extruder of my M201 printer got stuck and clogged. So, I dissembled the parts of the extruder and cleaned everything. It took the whole day. Now, when assembling I have just one confusion. I am not sure how long the teflon tube should be inserted. Should it be up to the end of steel tube as shown in attached photo? OR, it should be up to some where half-way of the tube? Please let me know. Thank you very much.

Hi,
It should be the bottom of the metal tube.

Hello, that means I should put the teflon tube just like photo shown. I did the same and assembled. But still it's clogged and motors can't push the filament in. The temperature I used for the PLA 1.75mm filament is 210C. Please advice me how can I solve the problem. Please also let me know if I ended uo with buying another extruder for this M201 printer??? Thank you.

Could it extrudes normally when you manually push the filament with hand?
If not, then it might be the hotend getting clogged, you can try to clean block and the nozzle, see if it helps;
