Supply correct diameter of smooth rods.
Supply correct diameter of smooth rods.
My smooth rods as supplied are undersize and cause much wobble. They are 7.91 mm diameter NOT 8.00 mm diameter.

Did you tighten the screw as the picture shows? As for the wobbling of Z axis, you can print a part to see it is helpful, and download it from this link:https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1204200

Re: Supply correct diameter of smooth rods.
There is no work around that can turn 7.91 mm rods into 8.00 diameter which is required to fit a 8.00 mm linear bearing!!!!
The suggestion to tighten the circular collets will not change the rod diameter or reduce wobble to that of near enough to zero that a 8.00 diameter rod provides. The hard chromium heat treated alloy steel rods is the industry standard and they are 8.00 mm diameter.
In addition stainless steel is a very bad material choice as it is very soft being not capable of hardening by heat treatment and will wear excessively.
The rod you supply are simply the WRONG size and bad material choice!!!
