Replacing Makerbot Rep 2x Extruders with Geeetech dual ext

I purchased the Geeetech Dual MK8 extruder assembly. I wanted to replace my OEM extruder that came with the Makerbot 2x. I wired everything up and matched the hookups. Fired it up and kept getting a temperature error, I could not get the Geeetech extruders to heat up, constant errors. I then wired up the OEM extruders and they worked perfectly. I worked on troubleshooting for 4 hours and feel like I am banging my head against the wall. Please help or let me know if you have figured out how to upgrade to these performance extruders. After I was done with all sorts of troubleshooting I wired up the Makerbot extruders and they worked perfectly. Please Help!!!

Are the heating elements and thermistors fit your own printer?

Yes, the heating elements and thermistors fit the Makerbot Replicator 2x. I have been doing some research and I think I have found the solution. My Makerbot 2x requires Thermocouplers instead of Thermistors. I have ordered 2 new thermocouples and will install them as soon as they arrive
