End Stop Issues

Hello,

I'm new to 3D printing and this is my first printer. I have finished building it and am trying to get its initial calibrations and etc. finished but have run into a problem.

This printer has the GT2560 board in it and I have connected the end stops to the 'Min' connectors as instructed in the online tutorial. The printer travels and hits the end stop, I hear it click but the printer tries to keep going as though the end stop is not there.

Any ideas why this is happening and how to solve the issue?

what's your printer type? are all the endstops behave like this or just one of them? I think you need to check the wirings and see if they are all plugged in the correct opsition. And use M119 to check the endstop status, when manually press it, it will feedback "triggered" or "ON", release it then it will show"open" or "off".

Acrylic Geeetech I3 Pro. 8mm

It's a brand new printer which I just finished building yesterday. It is happening with all end stops. It's like they are not even there.

the X axis is the one moving left and right, Y axis is the one moving the heatbed and Z axis is going up and down, so did you plugged the endstops in the correct position? if that's not gonna work, you can try to reinstall the firmware, maybe the firmware is wrong.

Yeah, they are plugged into the corresponding jacks. I wonder if I got a bad board or something.

is your endstop wirings correct? there are 3 pins of each endstop, you need to connect it to the outside pins. And did you homig the printer before moving the axis?

I got my hand on updated firmware and guess what??? It works perfectly now!
