Post by swanny » Mon Sep 14, 2015 4:02 pm

Hi Guys,
I recently purchased one of your Prusa I3 Aluminium kits and I have encountered a few problems that have occurred during manufacture"
  • 1 Cut out for LCD display backwards:
2 Mounting holes for Y-Stop and Z-Stop switchs drilled to M3 instead of M2.5
Any Suggestions? - Thanks

The hole for the knob should be on the same side as the controller PCB

I think it's not mirrored, you assembled them in the wrong direction, reverse it 180°and you'll work it out.
As for the holes, can you find some M3 screws to fit it?

No, It's definitely mirrored. The hole for the knob and the mounting holes for the controller PCB should be on the right of the LCD. If I turn XZ plate around 180° then the X-axis motor hits the cables/connectors on the controller as it slides up and down. It's the same problem as this: http://www.geeetech.com/forum/viewtopic ... 22&t=16926

The M3 screws don't fit through holes in the microswitch

Oh, I see, you're right. You can contact the customer service to have a new one, or print a bracket FOR the LCD designed by yourslef, I think it's great.
And "The M3 screws don't fit through holes in the microswitch", I asked about it, you can work this out with the M3 screws, just use a little force to screw it in, don't worry too much about the swithc, like this:
