Z Axis problem
Z Axis problem
Hi, I have fitted a RAMBO 1.1B board and after a lot of copy/paste have got it working on my Acrylic i3. Everything seems to be working correctly except when I manually home the Z axis It only moves down a couple of mms and start grinding and making an awful noise and stops. It moves fine with manual control on all the movement smoothly and quietly. Is there a setting in Marlin for this or could it be binding when the home command is given...?
Re: Z Axis problem
It seem to be the problem of the endstop. how about swap the endstops?
Re: Z Axis problem
Turned out to be the current to the steppers. Turned it up in the firmware from 135 to 160 and it's working now. I modified the Z axis fitting two screw threads each side to give better stability but it probably upped the resistance a bit...
Thanks for the reply...

Re: Z Axis problem
Hi
I have the same problem, i think that the rods are not aligned with the brass nut (piece no. 17). I tried to disassemble and reassemble the X axis but I think that I do wrong procedure.
Can you help me?

Hi
little news, now when I mount Z-axis top mount (no. A8) the motors force and don't move, without the top mount are ok.
Which is the possible cause?
P.S. My printer is Acrylic Prusa I3 Pro-b with GT2560
