MicroStepping up & down on Rostock G2S

Hi,
Having finally worked out that, when the LCD was plugged in I could not Upload the firmware, Having managed to upload, when I turn the power on all 3 motors do one microstep up, then down, then up, etc until I turn the power off. Repetier Host will not control the motors & I get the following read-out:
