Hi,
I had a bit of trouble with my extruder jamming. I was able to solve this by adjusting the driver voltage pot unit it would extrude 50 mm abs @230 C without jamming. The voltage on that pot now shows 1.635V. Unfortunately I didn't check to see what kind of stepper driver I have here before I put the heatsinks on, 4988? 8825?
The extruder motor does not get hot.
I did notice the other drivers are set to 0.8V or so. I sometimes have trouble with one or more of the motors stalling during big prints. should I increase the voltage?
Voltage recommendations for stepper drivers on G2 kit?

Re: Voltage recommendations for stepper drivers on G2 kit?
Usually, the voltage between screw on driver and GND is around 1V or 0.9V. That's enough.
You should be happy that the extruder motor is not hot.
This is A4988 This is DRV8825 You can see one of their differences is in the positon of screw.

Thank you. I understand to adjust and check for overheating. I have them A4988 set to 1.0 V now, and the motors are not hot even after a 2 hour print.
