temperature problem

Post by 3skyD » Wed Jun 05, 2019 7:00 am

Hello everybody, i am asking help here because after research i didnt find a fix to my problem.

When i start the printer i can read room temperature for the bed at 22 and for the nozzle at 20.
When i want to print both reach the target temperature on the screen.
I dont have thermometer so i cannot give precise numbers.
Bed temperature seems about right but nozzle temperature seems to be a good 50 bellow(at least) the one displayed.
When set at 250, it barely melts pla.
Would id be the thermistor ?
What are the solutions ?

Thanks

Hi, have you tried to heat the nozzle to 200 ° to manually push the consumables to see if it is silk? Have you measured the thermistor resistance?

I do not have multimeter so cannot post thermistor resistence.
I undo all the hot end and i noticed two things :
- Thermistor could be pushed in one more milimeter ish
- The heater block was not really tight

Now it seems that the temperatures displayed are about right.

I can print PLA fine and result is really good however when i increase the temperature to print PETG, after few minutes of printing the extruder motor starts clicking and cannot push anymore fillament. The Barrel Throat/Heat Break is full of plastic. like if the fillament was melting in the wrong pace. The fan is running well on the hot end.

I would like to upgrade the hot end with something more reliable/heat resistant as i want to mainly print PETG/ABS and PLA for prototyping only.

Which hot end is compatible for the a10 and would be good ?
I also ordered that : https://www.amazon.co.uk/Extruder-Alumi ... ial&sr=1-1 to try to improve extrusion.

Than you very much for your help, i am new to 3d printing and really appreciate that.

Good article. The problem of heat has always plagued printers. If you need help in another direction, for example, in paper writing service, please contact here. I hope you have found a solution to your problem, usually if this is a laser printer, everything is solved by replacing the coolant that is in the pict.
This Fieldworkhq service will save you time and improve your workflow.

Hi All,

I am having exactly the same problem. After suffering under extrusion I narrowed wit down to nozzle the temperature being lower than its stetting/reading. I have used a IR thermometer to measure the temperature of the head/nozzle from a range of 50 to 250 degrees C. The profile printer reported vs manually measured temperature is linear (which is good), with the manually measured temperature being consistently 94% of that reported by the printer.

This was a sudden change in performance, I have had the printer for about a month, only last week did the under extrusion start. I will check to see of the thermister is loose.

In the mean time can any of the G10 collective tell me what Thermister is used? I have tried google, but cant seem to get a answer. This is so I can manually measure the resistance vs temperature and compare to the data sheet and if needed order a spare.

Kind regards,

Duck.
