Start-up issues.

Post by TechCoarse » Mon May 06, 2019 10:51 pm

Hey,

I dont know if anyone can help me im very new to this i just brought the Geeetech Acrylic Prusa I3 Pro B (My first 3d printer lol) so ive had it for awhile now (brought it in december last year) i built it the month after toke me a phew days then i had to shelve it as for months i was having issues with trying to get the heating in my house sorted but anyway finally got it setup today to the point where i can plug it into the pc and all that so im now trying to do the home test button thingy (trying to follow the manual has been pretty difficuilt) so i hit in the repeater host software the little house icon the nuzzle moves to the left hits the endstop and then goes down it gets about over half way (while its going down btw its squeaking a bit) and then it gets stuck hear the motor trying to pull it down with no luck ill be honest i have no idea what i have to do or where to start looking.

Any help would be so greatly appreciated!

Hi, I think you can press the glass plate down and tighten the nut.

Hello,

Im up to printing leveled the bed and seems fine but im getting alot of either not sticking to the bed or its not printing entirely on the bed part of it is sorta dangling off the edge.

Again thanks for your help and any advice/and or help you can give is greatly appreciated!

Maybe you need to 1. Check if the hot bed is level and level the hot bed;
2. It is necessary to ensure that the nozzle is at the normal height of the hot bed, and the best condition is that the material
coming out of the nozzle is slightly flattened;
3. Maybe the printing speed is too fast, you can reduce the printing speed appropriately;
I hope this can help you.

Hi,maybe 1. The layer height value is too high, and the layer height setting value should be less than 20% of the nozzle diameter;
2. The print temperature is too low, you can try to increase the print temperature.

Your help has been great pretty much all sorted and such now the only other issue's i have is the print is of centre so if you print larger jobs it sorta prints off the plate and when printing it seems my extruder is clicking so im trying to adjust the vref of the stepper motor but i have no clue which driver is for the extruder

Thanks for all the help!
