material leakes from nozzle in travel

Post by ricky007 » Mon May 13, 2019 12:07 am

Hi People,

I am experiencing a problem where when the extruder travel from finishing one line of print to start another, material leaks from the head causing under extrusion at the start of the next line.

This is most noticeable on infill lines.

I hope the picture illustrates what I mean better than the way I worded it!

Hi Gang,

Actually I think that there is no retraction even though I have it checked in Cura.

6.5mm @ 50mm/sec

If I find out why I'll post it

Hi Ricky,
I use Cura quite a lot - version 4.1 now...
I've never experienced this problem but whilst looking for something else I noted a comment regarding this very subject.
The writer seemed to indicate that Cura 3.1 was mostly at fault, (I don't know your version) but went on to say that if you remove the 'Coasting' ability, then the problem with retraction will go away...
The 'Enable Coasting' is found in the 'Experimental' settings list.
Somewhere to look ?
