Bed Offset Correction

Post by hwurzburg » Sat May 11, 2019 8:49 pm

I am trying to center prints on the bed...and using BLTouch, which homes in the center...there is a 13mm X offset to all prints...I am using Cura

I have tried M206 X13 to shift the bed position, but while the printer accepts it, it does not seem to actually work....its not reported in M503

how do I center prints? (SLIC3R has an offset in printer profile, Cura does not)...

EDIT: found the Cura setting....

There are some hard coded software limits to bed size in the printer?

See what it does on bigger print

TIP: tight all screws and wheels (except right side of Z axis) and re-align frame while assembly. And silence it.

Bad news. Hardcoded nice 220, but real printable size is X210 x Y215. Look at offset 10x5mm.

Why not to use real printable size at least 230x230mm? There are tolerances 5mm (which is really needed, machinery precision of complex object is not good - if you did not see it, you are lucky or blind).
