I have a 12v A30 which is a fantastic machine, however my hotend cooling fan no longer starts without my spinning it by hand so i have replaced it with a noctua item but still the same problem remains.A quick check with a multi meter reads 8 volts which drops further when the hotend heater is on.
I have heard that the pcb the hotend connects to can go faulty so i was going to replace my to see if it helps but the ones on the geeetech website do not look the same as mine, my pcb has screw in terminals for the hotend heater and the ones on the geeetech website seem to be push fit connectors. are these boards compatible or am i looking at the wrong part. any input on these issues would be great as i cant seem to find any info online.
thanks for your help
regards Doug

Re: 8v at fan
I think you can refer to these:
1.You can check the motherboard E0 output voltage is 12V or not.
Refer to this sch file:

2.If you want to replace the extruder extension board
You can try to send the email to the sales then they will give you more help.

Re: 8v at fan
Could it be a motherboard problem? if so what should i do? Will geeetech assist with my problem
Should i return it to amazon and order another one?
I have hooked up a 40mm fan to an old 12v router psu to check everything else is fine and it is printing beautifully I wonder if its a pwm problem on E0.
anyone any ideas where to go from here?
regards
Doug

Hello.
If the voltage drops and is not stable after switching on the heaters, it may be the fault of the main power supply.
