Y layer shift problems on A10M

I'll give that a go. I'm finding that Cura 4.0 is worse than 3.6 for Y shift.
I'll double check my settings in Cura 4.0 and see if it makes a difference.

I took the bed apart last night and altered the v slot wheels eccentric nuts so the bed runs smoothly. I though that great i'd solved the issue until i tried my test piece.
Here's the result.

Using Cura 3.6 I got a lot of Y shifting issues... until I totally disabled acceleration and jerk in Cura settings. No firmware update, no hardware change, just disable that parameters and tada, no Y shifting.

This did the trick for me too. I set the acceleration to 500 and jerk to 8 and its no longer shifting. How frustrating. I had changed the jerk on the printer already to 10 but maybe cura was overriding it or it was just the acceleration.

Do it after this changes you won't recognize your printer. I did exact same things and have no single problem with my a10m. Printer is quiet, reliable and does everything as it should be.

Marlin 2.0 has been flashed. Just waiting for the new TMCs to arrive so i can swap them in.

So the tmc2208 are in for the x and y. It’s so much quieter now. Just need to shut up the hot end fans now.

Layer shifts can also be caused the the VRef being either too low OR too high

I've built up a beast of a CR10 that can smash out some prints at 200mm/s but I did notice I was getting Y layer shifts on that despite using a very high VRef, very big motors and a fan inside the control box. The stepper driver itself was still overheating, solution was to just stick an even bigger fan on the stepper drivers. That's easy enough to check just openj up the top cover, run a known print that gives you layer shift, then put a desk fan blowing on it and rerun the print

Même chose pour moi. et ça a fonctionné. Sous Cura 3.4.1 j'ai diminué le jerk de 40 à 20.
