Vert I have a question for you as an examiner and firmware connoisseur.
Will the standard firmware load overwrite the saved configuration.
Maybe in order to do this you need to make additional settings in Arduino :?:

Hi.
;)

Thank you for clarifying this issue definitively :!:
I can see that this is very important, I expected it. :P

I have same problems since some days, printer work fine before

then temp shows above 100/0 for hotend end around 124/0 for bed when turning printer on

changed hotend including temp sensor and also changed heatbed sensor (also sensor was measured 260 Ohms instaead of 100k at room temp)

so i had idea to change both sensors

but nothing changes, i checked all after installing new sensors, reading are fine nearly 100K for both sensors

but startup display shows same failure
if i start preheat bed and hotend for pla nothing happens

from beginning i got permanent trouble with my printer

after installing latest marlin 2.0 from vert i was very pleased with the results and it feels allright the first time

but since the last failure i am at the end i dont now how to solve this

maybe i need a complete system reset and a new clean installation or is the board at the end now???

Hi.

First of all, you can try to reset the settings.
If this does not help the problem may be of a hardware nature.

After reading this i am more convinced the board is broken. I've ordered a new one. Very frustrating i'm going to have to wait another 2 weeks for the board to come! the more and more i read about these machines you're either lucky or not. Desperate for a European Stockist!!

Hi.

If your printer is new, you can ask your dealer for warranty replacement.

what is the best way for a reset, i think the are wrong setting stored in eeprom

or initial setup is disturbed by a routine that give wrong zero value for sensor reading

i found the mistake

I have shortings over my pullup resistor system for Heat Sensors.
measuring form sensors connecting pins onboard R4 and R58 give wrong values

from my old board i can measure direct from onboard connectiong pin of sensor to R4 and R58 4,7K Ohm

my actual board give from pin to R4 250 Ohm and from pin to R58 66 Ohm.

i looked on schematic now, no plan how R4 could be shorted or so
yesterday i soldered a new 4,7K resistor but i can not read 4,7k when soldered in, so it must be shorted over another trace? (220-250 Ohm)

R58 is also replaced, but it was not the pullup resistor, after a look in the schematic R59 is the pullup
but why i can´t measure 4,7k Ohm like on my first board when i measure hotend sensor pin socket to R58?

btw

the Rev B board seems to be a bad thing, a wide variety from good and working till broken

i compared my pre installed gt2650 Rev B with the current replacement board
bot have difference, where through hole vias are filled with solder tin or not
or if board ist cleaned up with alcohol or another solution or not

what argues me at most, that the boards RevB and Rev3 are not pin compatible
so just change it and make an upgrade is not possible, most connections have to be rewired
motor and enstop connection are different , also the position from usb connector onboard.
