Board Damage.

Post by inchca » Tue Feb 12, 2019 7:08 pm

I accidentaly did put X asis driver wrong way. The resistor kinda cooked with beautiful smoke.

Now my problem is display is dim black boxes. Feintly black boxes on the screen. Voltage is 4.97 / 1.6V for brightness.

Screen is effective i mean it resets the board. Buzzer works along with rotary encoder. Its just dim black boxes.

And X axis still not working after i switched the driver i guess it has some board damage. Any suggestion which line might got damage after wrong connection of driver?

Btw i tested all functios over usb with pc as my screen isnt working anymore. Bed nozzle eyz axises everything works. I switched x axis stepper to y driver stepper is ok as well. Only board left that can be a problem.

Hi.

It is not pleasant what happened to you.
And in addition, I have one more bad news for you.

Your mistake caused at least the destruction of the main µC. :?

If you feel strong you can try to replace the µC. But the controller board will need to check a few more components.
Also purchase a new stepstick module.

Otherwise, you can write to your dealer asking them to replace the controller board. If it refuses, only the purchase of a new controller remains.

I greet you cordially. Be more careful. :D
