Fried motherboard?

Post by Gh14Cc10 » Tue Jan 15, 2019 6:51 pm

Hello guys, help, my A10M is dead :( all the motors not working at all. Display is starting, extruder and bed getting warm, but motors completely dead.

What happened: the printer was keeping rebooting. Then I found that there was some false contact related to the extruder cable that somehow got naked and was touching one of the pins on the extruder board. I fixed the problem with the cable with electric tape, but now motors are not working.

I have tried disconnecting completely the extruder board, but i have the same issue

Question:
- if the extruder board is disconnected, are the motors moving? Could the extruder board be the issue
or
- is it possible that this false contact burned out the motherboard?

Thanks

Hi.

The µC port through which communication to the stepstick modules takes place may be damaged.

If you can, you can try to replace the main microcontroller. ;)
Otherwise, please contact your salesman.
