Editing PWM voltage of GT2560
Editing PWM voltage of GT2560
I own an old Geeetech Prusa i3 with a GT2560 control board (alert me if this is too vague). I have made progress converting it into a 3d printer while still using the latest version of Marlin (1.1). The critical issue I have run into has to do with voltage. The laser I have purchased requires a 5v "TTL" signal to control the laser's output. Yet the fan PWM port on the GT2560 outputs 6-12v PWM (with a 0-255 input). Is there a way to change the PWM voltage to 0-5v or 0-6v? Thanks in advance!

Pardon, I mean converting it into a laser engraver.

Hello.
The name you gave is not precise.
This applies to both the printer and the motherboard model.
This is a very interesting solution.
I expect that your laser needs a lot of power from a power source.
You will probably have to use a separate 5V DC power supply for the laser itself.
After a small " modification" you will be able to control your laser using PWM.

On the forum I help to use the rod, I don't give fish.
