Problem - leaking from hotend

Post by PrintoSsaurius » Sun Dec 23, 2018 2:32 am

Hi.

I just bought an A10, and was thinking about printing stuff with my son this Christmas, but... I have the hotend leaking.
I've contacted GT support who told me to ask sales for a new one (Kudos for support!! :) )

I'd like to learn a bit more, so here is the question:
A) What went wrong? Anything that should have been tightened more?
B) Is there a way to recover from this situation so I can print anything? (the hotend will never be here on time, and the Christmas holidays will quickly end)

Thanks for all your help!

Hello.

It is unpleasant that it also happened to you.

But before you post this topic, you should read this forum carefully.
The eleventh topic in the list is about the same problem. Have you read it :?:

If this information is not sufficient for you, then ask.

Hi.

Thanks for your prompt reply!

Yeap... I look and read the few topics I found on leaking head / nozzles / ..., but in the end I still had these questions... as it is a brand new printer... should I tight it all??? specifically the hotend??? Or is this leak a symptom of any other issue?
I also read that some tried to heat it up to 220º, but will it print satisfactorily?

Thanks again!

:D

It is precisely because the printer is new that some individual adjustments are required.
This is the time to get to know the machine and learn how to control it.

I think it is a good practice to tighten the head block components after heating up.
