X & Y axis ofset

I like the home position off the edge of the bed as it keeps the nozzle easy to access then. Is there an easy way to adjust xy offsets for the bed with starting gcode? I tried setting negative XY values using:

M206 X-13 Y-15

but this doesn't seem to have any effect. Is M206 not supported, or did I format this wrong? Other suggestions?
