A10 Temperatures are reading very high

My A10 has been pretty good for the last couple of months, but mid-print last night the temperature sensors are reading wildly incorrectly and the ensuing chaos was pretty funny.

However I cannot see a reason for this.

The measured room Temp is 21C.
- The IR Measured Nozzle Temp is 20.7C
- The IR Measured Bed Temp is 20.9C

Reported values from he machines are
- Nozzle 90C
- Bed 79C

The nozzle is reading +58C and the Bed + 69C

How do I even begin to troubleshoot this ?

I have tools, volt meter, enthusiasm, but I do not know where to start ?

Do you have a multimeter?
1.Check the thermistor
100K ,ntc(80~120K is normal)
2.Remove the thermistor off then check the LCD info correct or not

I found mine doing this in the middle of a print resulting in a MAX TEMP displaying on the screen and the print failing. The only way I could clear the max temp was to turn the printer off and back on (Shades of the IT Crowd).

Anyway I found my printer has a loose connection such that when I move the black molex connecter in the back, it fixes the problem. Maybe you have this issue as well?

Unfortunately all connections are solid - at least all of the non-soldered ones are solid.

It is very frustrating that I cannot find a decent trouble-shooting guide..

What I am thinking of doing it buying a new GT2560 board, because it appears that the issue is there, from the limited information that I can find.

Unfortunately there are no A10 specific board available, so I am contemplating getting a very generic board and new LCD and building a hybrid out of the wreckage of my A10. If anyone has ever done, this, a few pointers would be good....

Yes I do have one - do you have some potted instructions on what / how to check please ?

More information.

unplugging everything except power/motors from the board gives me the same temp readings, a quick check of resistance on the thermistors gives me readings in the 100k region - which leads me to think that the board is fried, not the bed/hot end.

Does this feel likely ?

I think that you are correct - so I have decided to build a hybrid.

I have an older GT2560 board - not one designed for the A10 and a 2004 LCD on their way - in theory, with a few cabling changes and some new LCD / control board enclosures - hopefully 3D printed - I will have enough to build up a hybrid device........
