help with stepper driver - stuttering motor

Post by _shorty_ » Sat Nov 10, 2018 2:59 am

My X-axis motor is not working. When it tries to move, I only get a jittery vibration - without any true rotation in either direction.

I swapped motors and the problem stayed with the x-axis.
I swapped driver boards, and the problem stayed with the x-axis.

So - it's either the main board, or firmware/software issue.
I'm noticing some discoloration on what looks like the capacitor underneath.

Suggestions? Is Geeetech good at sending replacement parts if needed?

You also try to swap motor cable too?
If it doesn't help either, try to re-upload the firmware.

We provide replacements for free if your printer still under warranty.

Those didn't help. How would I go about getting a new board under warranty then?
