Brandnew printer - Super Plate is lying loosely on the heating bed

Post by TerryTorry » Fri Oct 12, 2018 4:56 pm

Hi,

my brandnew A30 has the Super Plate lying loosely on the heating bed. 4 clips were supplied to fix the Super Plate. However, the aluminum surface bends strongly when heated, so I want to glue the plate over the entire surface of the aluminum plate. does anyone have a suggestion for this?

On the aluminum plate is still a plastic film. Does this need to be removed?

thx in advance
Terry

Hello.

It is imperative that the foil is torn off before the heating is switched on. It may be more difficult to do so afterwards.

A glass plate, if you have one, has an original adhesive surface that is also protected with paper. Once the protective paper has been torn off, you glue these two elements together. ;)

oops!

Hi kaktus,

I didnt recognized that there is already adhesive surface under the glass and i will check. There was no mounting instructions for super plate in setup manual. Thank you very much for your reply.
