problems with y and z axis

Post by Kai_2018 » Fri Aug 24, 2018 12:38 am

Hello my Friends,

I'm new and hope, you can help me. I've bought the Prusa I3 ProW.
Now, I have two problems.
First one: If I cklick the home Buttons in easyprint 3d, the y and the z axis only move into one direction (z up, y forwards). When I adjust the both axis with the lcd panel, they also only move into one direction. So please, can you help me?

Second one: If I will print something (the extruder is working) the extruder will move to a Position round about 10 to 12mm over the plate. The y axis in the printing mode does work normally. So, what is the reason for the wrong Position of the z axis.

Thanks for your help!

Hi.

I understand your embarrassment.

Did you try to solve your problems yourself. There are many similar threads in the forum.
By the way, you may find some useful insights for the future.

;)

You'll have a lot of work to do and a lot of learning awaits you. You need to get to know your printer. The faster the better.

1. You may need to change the direction parameter in the menu for the selected axes.
2. The home option is not executed correctly,
or the position of the model is higher than zero.

I wish you perseverance in solving problems.
:D

Thank you guys.
But please, may be you can explain how to set the home Position (in Marlin?).
Also the endstops of Y and Z axis will not work correctly.

Thanks in advance!

______

Hey, now I solved the Problem by myself. The Connection of the endstops were wrong. :(
I assembled it according to the manual. But the manual was wrong.

I have exactly the same issue. It's hard work trawling through the forms for precise answers. Hopefully someone will help us out with a link. Please let me know if you have any success. All the best.
