Help for software

Post by PaoloV » Mon Feb 19, 2018 5:14 am

Hi, I've buyed a Prusa I3 Pro B (acrylic) and this is my first 3d printer. I can program Arduino and I've good knowledge of pc (Windows and other os).
About software I've a lot of doubts and so I ask your help.
1) Can I download the last Marlin firmware (1.1.8) instead of that one of Geeetech? If yes, do I need to change any parameters in config.h or in other parts of the sketch?
2) Can I download the last version of Repetier Host from repetier site and if yes, there are any settings that I've to make?
I would like to use the new versions of the programs.
Thanks

Paolo

You can find the Marlin 1.1.8 for PRO B from the forum
You can use the lastest Repetier-Host version for slicing
-Keep your mind and try to test it. :)
-Everything will be fun!-Support all Getech printer.
-You can ask me the questions and I will kindly reply.
-Respect others is the best way you can get help!

Indeed there is an almost ready-to-use configuration for your printer in branch 'bugfix-1.1.x', Marlin/example_configurations/Geeetech/Prusa\ i3\ Pro\ B/. See https://github.com/MarlinFirmware/Marli ... %20Pro%20B

You can use the latest Arduino IDE to program it.
