Hey, I received my 3dtouch today, but im having a really hard time getting it to work properly. I screwed the probe grub screw down to where the led just starts lighting. Though the travel distance between deployed and stowed is really small. And another problem is that it seems like that either the needle gets stuck in the plastic because its not clean enough in the inside or the solenoid/coil isnt strong enough to pull it all the time. Im already using an external 5V regulator so power is definatly not a problem. Im testing it out with "M280 P0 S120" and often after just 10 or so deployments it stops because the needle got stuck somewhere on the inside. If i give it a little push everything works again for those 10 deployments of it.

Any Idea what im doing wrong or what i could do to fix my problems? Thanks :)

I want to know, there are other problems? Or only such noise exists?

Hi!

I'm new to 3d printing and I recently bought a Geeetech Prusa i3 Pro B along with a 3D touch sensor to do auto bed leveling.

I printed the sensor holder, mounted it and the sensor to the extruder carriage and uploaded a configured Marlin firmware to the printer. It worked great for about 6 times and now, it crashes on the bed on the two points on the right of the bed.

I tried manually leveling the bed thinking that the nozzle was touching the bed plate before the sensor's needle could, but that's not the case. Even with the bed manually leveled, when using G29 (Auto Bed Leveling code), the Z-axis carriage crashes into the bed.

What can I do/check? Thanks!

Hello,

I installed the 3d auto levelling sensor, changed the firmware and everything seems to work with my Prusa I3proB and a GT2560 rev a+ controller.
The only thing that is wondering me: when I give a home command with the repetier software or with the controller on the Geeetech the printhead is moving to X 101 Y 148 Z0, is doing the test with the probe, and remains there. I would like that the printhead is going to the home position 0,0,10 or something like that. Did I forgot something in the procedure?

regards,

Hello William,

Yes, the Z_SAFE_HOMING is enabled.
Do you have any other suggestions?

regards,

Willem

If you have enabled the Z axis home safe function
The extruder will stop at the center of heat bed
