Hi,
This is my video : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_b0H6pvgNQY
You can hear the Z-axis grinding and the X-axis clicking.
Maybe the pololu of X-axis must be reconfigured?

Hi,as to the noise issue,I think you need to make sure with a caliber that both sides of Z axis are at the same height. Please check this post for more details.http://www.geeetech.com/forum/viewtopic ... 917(thanks.

Re: Common issues :wrong motor direction,Endstop hit...
Thanks for this post, i'm able to print in decent quality after a long but nice building phase
I still have an issue why my Prusa I3 B and i can't figure out how to configure my firmware: configuration.h
All my print are mirrored in Y axis, moreover, i need to flip X and Y in repetier interface to manipulate easily the printer in manual mode.
Could give me some clues ?
I try to change some boleans like "INVERT_X_DIR" but's no longer possible to homing after theses changes.

Re: Common issues :wrong motor direction,Endstop hit...
After a double check on my side, i figured out that X and Y axis are flipped out (steppers motor and endstop detector) ...
The 2 problems have to be linked somehow. I start a unsymetric print to validate this solution...

Re: Common issues :wrong motor direction,Endstop hit...
hello I am having an issue when homing my printer. all of the motors are going in the correct direction,
the Z axis homes properly with the endstop, but then either the Y or X axis (whichever one makes it to the endstop first)
will just make a horrible sound pressing up against the endstop as if it is not there. I try using the endstop from Z(because work just fine) at X and Y to test if it the endstop itself, but i have the same result(horrible sound pressing up against the endstop as if it is not there)
I followed all of the directions for wiring and I have tried changing endstop functionality in the firmware,
but nothing seems to work. What im missing ?

Re: Common issues :wrong motor direction,Endstop hit...
You can send M119 code and you can confirm that Endstop is intact via analyzing its return value
You should also ensure the wiring of Endstop is correct

Re: Common issues :wrong motor direction,Endstop hit...
Interesting, I also have a similar issue.
When I click the X home button in Repetier, the printhead moves to the home position and keeps hammering at it. I have to do an emergency stop - it's as if it's trying to go past the endstop. If left unattended, it'll eventually stop after about 10-15 seconds.
Yet when I use the directional arrows to move the printhead along the x-axis, it gets to the endstop and respects it - that is, when it gets to the endstop, it acknowledges "endstops hit: X" on the LCD and doesn't keep pushing - it stops like it's supposed to.
I have swapped out the endstop microswitch for a brand new one and also tried swapping it with the y-axis endstop. Same problem. Brand new I3 A Pro. See video here: https://youtu.be/IMTEOb7thPk
SOLVED: Poor QA in the factory. Motherboard on the top right hand side was shoved through the standoff/insert, result being that the X-endstop was shorting out on the standoff/insert. Disappointed but resolved.
