echo:SD init fail error with GT2560 A+ on my I3 Pro B

Post by geetch38349 » Sun Aug 20, 2017 11:11 pm

Can someone help me figure out why my I3 Pro B will not load up with the available firmware?

The only significant change is that I had to replace the stock GT2560 A with a new GT2560 A+ control board. I have tried a few different firmware available in the Geeetech forums with no luck. I can confirm that all of the hardware will function with the old board. However, I wish to update boards.

The reason for the change in boards is that I've replaced the original board in order to store my settings via the EEPROM and the lack of bootloader on the original prevents an change in the firmware.

I’ve tried the following because they specify that they work with the GT2560 A+ (however none will boot up up for me)

Firmware for Prusa I3 X(GT2560) I3_pro_X.zip https://www.geeetech.com/forum/download ... hp?id=2191

Latest stable Marlin for Geeetech i3 Pro B https://www.geeetech.com/forum/viewtopi ... 20&t=19897

Here are the parts list

Updated LCD http://www.ebay.com/itm/LCD-2004-Smart- ... 1638805620

Updated Controller https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01N7DCUEB

Here's the log

All steppers work and can be operated via Repetier-Host manual. I really believe the issue is with the LCD/SD Reader.. I've tried both (attached)

Cancel my question. The problem is that the ribbon cables have to be reverse from the original position by shaving down the guides.
