D9 pin in Prusa i3 Pro B enabled?

Post by john1a » Thu Jun 15, 2017 2:06 am

Hello all!

I bought the Prusa i3 Pro B model and it is really great! It was cheap and did the job I wanted!

Now I explore the Gcode possibilities on other pins of the control board GT2560 (the white one). The internet documents the D9 is enabled with "M106 S*" command ("*" is 0-255 PWM).
When I issue this command through Repetier-Host, the D9 does not get any voltage, nor the LED seem to work.

My question is, is it disabled through the firmware for this model? Do I need to reprogram a firmware with different "Configuration.h" file and if yes, what changes do I need to make?

Thanks a lot guys! When I fix thiks issue I will post pictures of my whole built.

Hi,have you upgraded the latest firmware for GT2560?Except for Arduino,I suggest you to use EasyPrint 3D.
Here is the download link:
http://www.geeetech.net/firmware/EasyPrint.msi.
And here is the instructional video you can refer to
:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U3ua4vM ... pqufTgHOgE.
-Keep your mind and try to test it. :)
-Everything will be fun!-Support all Getech printer.
-You can ask me the questions and I will kindly reply.

Well, I suppose that I cannot use this as I am a Linux and Mac user...
Anyway, I am gonna try.

I haven't upgraded to the latest firmware. I have used avrdude to backup the flash and EEPROM from the GT2560, but I haven't loaded the latest Marlin yet.
I don't believe that it is gonna solve the problem though. The Fan is turned ON at Repetier-Host but the D9 pin doesn't have any voltage (measured with a multimeter) nor the led behind it is lit. The Marlin Firmware downloaded from Geeetech for ProB has a BOARD #define as ULTIMAKER. I don't know if it supports the D9 pin.

Is there a possibility that the D9 is dead?
