I have tried Easy Print a couple of times ...
When it first came out ... and a couple of weeks ago I gave it a try again ...
I didn't really like it ... and just un-installed it both times I have tried it ...
I'm using the new version of Repetier-Host V2.0.1 and sometimes check the files on "Meshmixer" if I'm printing something important ...
Usually using the Slic3r ... but they have Cura and Slic3r Prusa Edition as well included ...

I can't see where Easy Print or Slic3r would work on 1 board and not the other ...

I think that you missed the point David, William wanted you to update your Firmware via EasyPrint, not to use it to slice..... EasyPrint has an update firmware button which should update you to the latest version.

Thank you PaulB ...I didn't realize that was what William was saying ... :?
It was very easy to update EasyPrint when selecting the update in the HELP area ...
When I selected to update the firmware ... I just got the box shown below ... I've never seen "D200 / COM25"
I'm just stopped there ... I'm running Windows 10

1 MAJOR difference I have noticed when looking at the EEPROM setting when using the 2 different circuit boards is the number of esteps for the Z axis !!!!
Everything else seems to be the same for each board ...
I didn't change anything between the 2 boards, not even the SD card ... only added the negative Z offset for the new board so I would at least print the 1st layer ...
What is the correct esteps for the Z axis on the Geeetech Aluminum Prusa I3 3D Printer kit I bought ??

The COM port and printer should be selected correctly before you upgrade the firmware.According to the picture you have sent above,It's wrong. Please double check the instructional video which are a series.

Its very easy to install / uninstall the EasyPrint software ... I did it several times just this morning ...
The operation doesn't look anything like in the video you provided when using Windows10 ... it works very smoothly / automatically on its own :)
It took several attempts to "Update EasyPrint" this morning ... where the 1st few attempts seemed to freeze or go into a endless loop after starting ...
When I tried to "Update Firmware" ... I came up with the same warning box about D200/COM25 to "fix some bug 20170517"
EasyPrint is EASY to download and use, but I think you still have to "fix some bug 20170601" to solve the "fix some bug 20170517" problems ...

So I'm still exactly where I was before, after doing several fresh installs this morning ...

I found a later Geeetech video that seems to be much simpler / easier to understand for updating the firmware ... if that works OK ...

https://youtu.be/-8lk-HbqlEE

I can get to the "update" ... then showing "update / waiting" as it seems to attempt to update ... but doesn't seem to be able to finish ...

No ... I'm not sure at all ... that was the one shown on the video as well default setting that was on the software ...
I have the Geeetech Aluminum Prusa I3 3D Printer kit ... probably the same number from the beginning of the year ... 800-001-0370
Could you let me know which one I should be using ... and I'll retry the upgrade using that setting ...
