I3 pro C extruder problems

Post by Somerandomguy » Fri Jun 02, 2017 4:42 am

Ok I've been having issues getting the second extruder to function. I've been through all the mechanical tests and they are all good. I am starting to think it is a firmware issue. I have updated the firmware. The motherboard is set to ultimaker and extruders is set to 2. The reason I think it is the firmware is that I can warm up e_0 and manually feed material. And if I feed enough it takes long enough that when I go all the way back to the home screen and re-enter the menu prepare has changed to tune but when I try the same with e_1 nothing happens and the prepare does not change. So I think the firmware is not actually registering the second extruder or it thinks there are 0 steps/mm. Any help or things to verify would be muchly appreciated

Hi,at first,I want to know how do you upgrade the firmware? I suggest you to upgrade the firmware with EasyPrint 3D.
Here is the download link:
http://www.geeetech.net/firmware/EasyPrint.msi.
And here is the instructional video you can refer to
:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U3ua4vM ... pqufTgHOgE.
What's more, after everytime you change the value via LCD,you need to store the memory by entering Control>Store memory.
-Keep your mind and try to test it. :)
-Everything will be fun!-Support all Getech printer.
-You can ask me the questions and I will kindly reply.
-Respect others is the best way you can get help!

I updated using Arduino 1.0.1 with the firmware off the forum. I run Linux so I cannot use easy print.
