Ok, here is what I have going on.
Extruder motor does not turn up or down.
X and Y usually work fine, sometimes X wont go left.
Z goes up fine, but on the down side it stops at a certain point (about 80 mm) and wont go down, but it will go back up.
extruder motor does not turn.
When I hit the home button, it goes to home just fine.
Here's what I have tried:
-plugged extruder stepper motor into X axis, and it turns fine
-replaced GT2560 board......
-this seemed to fix everything until I re-wrapped all of the wires and cables, and it went right back to the same problem
-replaced gt2560 again, and no solution
- replaced cable to extruder motor
-checked connections on all else
I am really stumped, some help would be greatly appreciated.

There is a savety function in Marlin which avoids destroying your extruderTommy714 wrote:Ok, here is what I have going on.

If your nozzle is below 170°C your extruder will not move. You can change the temperature in the Marlin firmware Configuration.h or just live with it.
(was mentioned by William already)
Is the behavior of the X-Axis still present after homing?
Does the motor work when you heat the nozzle to 200°C ?
