Ardiuno Upload Failure

Post by DaveA » Thu May 11, 2017 1:21 pm

Hi,

I have a Geeetech Prusa I3 X with a GT2560 board.
I have the Marlin software that needs to be installed onto the board using the older Arduino 1.0.6 loader.
It Verifies fine, but when I try and upload it seems to have this issue.

Binary sketch size: 115,780 bytes (of a 258,048 byte maximum)
avrdude: stk500v2_ReceiveMessage(): timeout
avrdude: stk500v2_ReceiveMessage(): timeout
avrdude: stk500v2_ReceiveMessage(): timeout
avrdude: stk500v2_ReceiveMessage(): timeout
avrdude: stk500v2_ReceiveMessage(): timeout
avrdude: stk500v2_ReceiveMessage(): timeout
avrdude: stk500v2_getsync(): timeout communicating with programmer

I have tried to use a different USB cable, port and it still happens. I'm using the proper COM 8 port and the board is properly selected. The board does have the green lights on and the yellow light flashes occassionaly when the upload is happening, but nothing. The display on the LCD screen has two lines across.

Any help in fixing this issue I would be very thankful.

Thank You,
David

I've even tried Arduino version 1.0.1 to upload and it has the same error.
I'm using Windows 7 64 bit

Can anyone help me to get the software uploaded.

Thank You,
Dave

Hi,

I have and it seems the issue is that the bootloader is bad and that it needs to be re-installed.

Thanks for the help though.
