3d touch sensor g-code and endstop issues
Re: 3d touch sensor g-code and endstop issues
So it is a GT2560 problem?
Re: 3d touch sensor g-code and endstop issues
looks like it......
Re: 3d touch sensor g-code and endstop issues
Which side of R22 ? Is this to bypass a pull-up resistor? Your picture has a wire soldered to a leg of an IC.zwollerob wrote:fixed it.... Just solder the signal (orange cable) to the R22
And now it works like a charm!
Now calibrating time!!!
Re: 3d touch sensor g-code and endstop issues
Hi,
I have the same issues as described here and here are my steps:
I have soldered 3 pins instead of Z_MAX JST connector.
I have made my own 5x jumper cables with correct colors.
I have checked if cables are good (low resistance with a multimeter).
I have connected everything according to the Wiki page.
I have found Pro W firmware (which seems to differ almost nothing from the Pro B firmware - checked with diff) from this forum ("Mark" posted in 10 Oct. 2015).
I have made changes in the firmware according to the wiki page (red text).
I have uploaded the firmware.
Restarted the printer (plugging USB out and in again).
3DTouch sensor does the self test (extend/retract twice).
RED LED is on and it remains in this state.
G-Codes (M280....) are returning "ok" ACK but nothing actually happens!
I assume this is a firmware configuration problem. Do you have a working firmware for pro B or pro W with 3D Touch sensor?
What can be wrong? I can send pictures or videos as well.

Re: 3d touch sensor g-code and endstop issues
Hi,
I have the same issue with 3D touch sensor. Here are the steps I have taken.
I have printed the part for the mount.
As shown in wiki page, I have soldered 3 pins on Z_MAX holes.
I have made my own jumper cables and checked connectivity (low resistance with multimeter).
I have connected the wires accordingly.
I have found the firmware posted by Mark on 10. Oct 2015 in this forum. (Pro W - although pro W and pro B are almost identical in code, they only differ slightly in machine name etc., nothing significant)
I modified the code marked with red (I did some very basic programming on Arduino before).
I uploaded the firmware.
My prusa i3 pro W started. Nothing happened (never completely turned off during the uploading process).
I plugged out USB and plugged in again (power off/on). 3D Touch sensor made the self test (pin out-pin in 2x).
After this point non of the G-Code for testing worked out (M280....). I didn't risk with Z-Homing to avoid to break the glass.
I assume the problem is with the firmware configuration. Maybe the wiki page is outdated? Can anyone provide a solution?
Thanks!

Re: 3d touch sensor g-code and endstop issues
I have a GT2560 rev A+. Can you send my your version please? I can compare with mine. I think wiki page is for an older version of Marlin (1.0.x) and the firmware I found is also old. But there is a more recent version of marlin. Maybe somewhere on this line a configuration is missing in my firmware code.

Sorry, this is the 1.0.X Marlin firmware.

Re: 3d touch sensor g-code and endstop issues
Thanks a lot! I think I now have solved it for myself. Due to different configurations I have seen around, I never got the correct combination of settings. Now it works.

Could you shareing about it?I think your experience will help a lot of people who encountered this issue.
