Unable to connect Rumba Board to PC
Unable to connect Rumba Board to PC
Hi,
I just purchased a new Rumba board a few days ago, I uploaded Marlin to it and everything was working fine.
A few days later, I decided to upload a modified version of Marlin but i couldn't get to connect the Rumba with my PC (the light Tx and Rx stayed "on" all the time).
I tried to set the power jumper in "USB powered" position, then placed a jumper slightly on the two pins Reset and Ground, connect the USB (the Tx and Rx light was off) but when i took out the jumper from the reset, the les Tx and Rx came back continuously on.
I tried with different USB cables (i have another Rumba board which is working just fine with my computer and the same usb cable) and i even tried to solder a new cable to the 4 pins usb next to the mini usb without any luck...
I'm out of idea , so if someone could help me, i would be very greatfull!
Thanks!

Re: Unable to connect Rumba Board to PC
Thank you, I tried, but it's not a problem of driver (works fine with my other Rumba), this is not my video but it's the exact same problem :
https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=y ... pp=desktop
I've read that i should try to use the ISP port in order to see if my CPU has died or not, will try it out

Rx/Tx lights are on constantly , Win10 and Win7 machines wont recognize it. Won't go into dfu mode.

Hi,when you pull out the jumper cap in the position of picture, the MCU will be changed into Mode DFU.

Re: Unable to connect Rumba Board to PC
I've been able to upload Marlin through the ISP port of the ATMega 2680. You'll need another Arduino, I did it with a cheap Arduino Uno i found on Amazon, worked fine.
It's explained on this page : http://www.gammon.com.au/forum/?id=11635
I think if you'd bootload the ATMega 16U2 (and it isn't fried) your USB might come back to life (but I really am not sure! I didn't have the time to try it out myself).
