No extrusion although everything working

Post by PrntNg » Fri Apr 14, 2017 2:55 am

Despite working through all the problems with the print and printer I can not seem to be able to get it to extrude. My set up parts and tuning is good and complete the extruder motor is working and rotating correctly has even been tuned to e steps to mm perfection filament does not extrude no matter what temperature despite everything working. Have even tried different temps to such amount that the filament drops out molten yet will not extruder no mater what nozzle I use. Have used all metal E3d nozzle, all metal Pico nozzle.

If anyone knows the solution then post me a response. Also if anyone has the Pins file which is specifically for the GT2560A and GT2560A+. I believe the only other problem could be that I have not ever used the correct pins file after uploading the open source firmware. Although I have followed instructions which is the correct pins file for the board.

Hi,could you tell me what is your machine model? According to your description,I think that the nozzle have been clogged.

I agree with William, certainly sounds like a clog. What temperature is being reported by either the software or the front panel for the extruder temperature? You say the extruder motor is turning, is the filament moving too? if the filament is moving the plastic has to be going somewhere. If the motor is turning and the filament isn't moving then
1. clog nozzle
2. filament is misaligned going into the throat of the extruder tube.
3. pressure on hobbed gear is too little in the extruder drive.

Reprap prusa i3 GT2560A+ board. This has been the problem after cleaning clog of nozzle extruder and nozzle tip. Filament is moving perfectly as I have stated all calibrations and tuning has been done. Has anyone the pins file for this board as it leaves me with no other understanding to think it most likely is the fact that the pins file recommended for the board is similar although no the exact one for this board. Currently I am using the ultimaker pins file as I have not been able to get the pins file for the GT2560A+.

I'm not sure why you would mod anything but the configuration.h file. I downloaded the Marlin-PI3_Pro_B build from the Marlin web site and had no issues other than minor tweaks to the configuration.h file.

Ive got it working. I Changed to yet another extruder hotend, as I was not using all of the installation bracket etc of the hotends that I was previously using. I am still having problems with some of the feature of the printer and software do not work. As although setting the steps minimum and maximum to allow increase of speed. This still does not work when changing the speed by pot when printing. Any ideas how to resolve this problem?
