Beginner 3D Printer issues

Post by Reddhavic » Fri Nov 11, 2016 4:25 pm

Printer Type: Prusa I3 Pro
Board Type: GT2560
Computer running Windows 10

I just purchased the Geeetech Prusa I3 Pro printer & have finished constructing it. I installed Repetier-Host and followed the instruction manual to try and run a test (Home button) which failed to move anything on the printer. After searching on-line I found one possible issue may have been the firmware. So, I installed Ardunio (1.6.12), thought I was running the correct firmware and clicked on upload. Afterwards I had a LCD screen with black bars and beeping at me (more like a constant screeching). I attempted to re-upload a firmware & now I have the black bars without the beeping.

What am I doing wrong & what can I do to get this thing to work.

Arduino1.0.1 did sort the firmware issue...nor I find out that the real reason thenough printer isn't working is that the PSU isn't working...now I have to replace it...
