No LCD Light
Hi
I have a Chinese Prusa I3 clone, that has worked without trouble for about 6 months.
The power supply connector burned out while I was PLA printing, so I bought a new replacement GT2560 rev A board.
Before removal the LCD display worked on the old board when powered from the USB socket even after it had burned out.
On the new board I get neither light nor display, either from the supply or the USB socket.
Is there something I can try?
thanks
Trevor

Re: No LCD Light
Have you refresh the firmware for your new board?
GT2560 rev A board has no power supply from the USB anymore. when you refreshe the firmware, please be sure to power it up.

Re: No LCD Light
As I said on my original post the display does not power up either from the supply or USB, but it does from the old board, so it is not the display.
Re: No LCD Light
1.Connect the power cable to the new board and turn it on,then upload the firmware for it(the board may have no firmware in if you bought it seperately).
2.After that, check if you have LCD cable and SD cable incorrectly connected if the LCD still doesn't light up.

Re: No LCD Light
Did you download the right firmware and upload it successfully?
Download it from here:http://www.geeetech.com/forum/download/file.php?id=2819
And could you attach a video to show the procedure of uploading the firmware and connect it to LCD?

Hi
Been more than a little busy, but here https://youtu.be/dTFcrJKxy_0 is a video of the problem. The opening sequence shows the old board working. The middle section is my attempt at showing uploading to the sketch, and the final section shows the new board still not working .
Thanks
