Extruder motor doen't works correctly
Extruder motor doen't works correctly
Hi! Im Vero from Argentina!
The extruder of my Geeetech I3 ProB is not working correctly. When I set to extrude 100mm/s It extrude only 10mm/s (but this shows that the motor works), but then when I send it to print the motor of the extruder doesn't move even a little.
I have another extruder so I changed it in order to identificate the problem, but it happens the same thing. So the problem is on the board. Then I changed the controller chip and mesured the pololu but these things are OK..
Someone have any idea what could be the problem? and any solution? Can I do some changes on the frimware and exchange Extruder 1 with extruder 2 pin or something like that?
I really appreciate your help

Re: Extruder motor doen't works correctly
Hello,
Philippe from France
I bought a GEEETech acrylic i3 pro B and I have exactly the same problem.
I tried with the Z axis motor, with the z axis cable, same problem.
Check the pololu, check the power unit => same problem.
I tried every firmware for the GT2560 in this forum, same problem.
When I change the step/mm for the extruder, same problem.
If I want extrude 100mm (repetier or with the LCD) I only have 14mm
Dead board or dead firmware ???

Hi,Philippe
1.Did you check the subdivision? 2.Have you tried swapping the driver A4988 with other motor's?
3.Theoretically,you can modify the step/mm in "Control-Motion" and "Control->Store Memory",then the modifying will come into effect next time.

Re: Extruder motor doen't works correctly
Thank you William.. I did all things you say but its still happend the same thing, When I setting on the Repetier to extrude 100mm/min It extrude some 10mm/min and when I send it to print the motor just doesn't move. I change at frimware E0 with E1 and the change it works, but the problem persist!! Im really lost and sourprised ... I change the motor with other motor and its happend the same thing.
Philip the same thing happens to you? If you can solve it please let me know how! I will do the same thing... Im talking with the technical assistance of Geeetech but They still could not solve it...

Re: Extruder motor doen't works correctly
Always the same problem, I think the extruder part of my board is dead.
I swapped the motor, the wires, everything and all of this work fine in the X for exemple, the only answer is dead board.

Yes.. I think the same... .. I swapped the pin of E0 and E1 in refer to this:

Thats a really good information that technical suport of Geeetech gave me, but it doesnt work on my case..
