Re: X axis vibrate
You didn't post the video after changing the cable...
And it should be the motor cable's problem though not working properly, shouldn't it?

Re: X axis vibrate
Hi William
I had the same problem with my Prusa I3 Pro B which I just finished assembling. I lubricated the smooth rods which seemed to help a bit, but when I tried moving the X axis from the LCD the vibration and jarring continued. I set Auto home and the motor kept trying to move to the left despite hitting the end stop microswitch (which had been working previously), then the printer stopped working altogether.
When I power on, the LCD, fans and power supply light would pulse (about every second). I unplugged, and when I plugged the power back in I heard a pop and now nothing seems to work.
If I plug in the USB cable, the LCD comes on correctly , but if I select a function nothing works. With the USB cable plugged in, the pulsing of the PSU now happens every few seconds.
Please advise course of action to rectify.

First you can download the firmware for Pro B and upload it again:
http://www.geeetech.com/forum/viewtopic ... 20&t=17046
Then you can try removing all the cables on the board to see what happens and assemble them again.
If the two solutions don't fix the issue, you'd better refer the following post to check your board and attach a video about your test please:

Re: X axis vibrate
Unable yo upload firmware as computer does not connect to printer.
I checked the output of the PSU (with the cable to the main board unplugged) and it is less than 1V.
Light on PSU does not light, nor the LCD and the fans are not working.
I suspect PSU is faulty.

Re: X axis vibrate
Could you attach some pics about the test on PSU?
And i saw you said the LCD comes on correctly when you plug in the USB cable,so it means the board can be detected by your computer right?

Re: X axis vibrate
Yes, the LCD comes on only if USB cable is plugged in, but none of the functions work (e.g.Auto home, shift axis).
I have attached link to two photos - one shows PSU switched on, but green LED on PSU not lit.
The other shows multimeter reading of 154mV on the output of the PSU (connector removed from main board for reading).
Regards

Hi,Alan
Here are two tips:
1.
However,it doesn't effect the process of uploading the firmware if the board can be detected by computer, refer to the following post:
http://www.geeetech.com/forum/viewtopic ... 13&t=17181
2.It seems your PSU was broken, you can contact your seller for a replacement so as to continue your next test.

Of course,it doesn't work cuz you didn't give a power to them(only USB).Yes, the LCD comes on only if USB cable is plugged in, but none of the functions work (e.g.Auto home, shift axis).
