Rostock 301 Extruder not heating

Post by toolmanhoss » Sat Oct 15, 2016 7:23 am

I set up the printer as indicated in the instructions online. The heat bed will heat up and work correctly, but the extruder will not heat at all. I made sure that the extruder was wired into the Ext 0 board that has the wires that go to Ext 0 on the main board. I tried other extruder boards and it still did not work. It shows 0/0 for the temp.

Hi,
You can check if your thermistor has a good connection to the board and the thermistor wirings.
-Keep your mind and try to test it. :)
-Everything will be fun!-Support all Getech printer.
-You can ask me the questions and I will kindly reply.

Which board? the extruder boards on top or the main board? Not sure what I can check on the main board. The connection is fine to extruder boards.

I mean the board on extruder0,did your thermistor wiring have a right connection? It just can be plugged in the solt on E0:

Then check if the two ends on thermistor have a good contact,it will show "room temperature/0" when not heated up:

I got it working, I swapped the cable from the mainboard Ext0 connector to another extruder board and moved the hot end wires (heater and RTD) to the other board and it worked.
