M301 rostok issue

Hi guys,

I have 2 M301 printer assembled and sold recently but both returned by customer because of strange issue.
The problem is that printers suddenly stops printing. Heaters are on, I can move trough menu but nothing works. Only reset button helps...

Since I have 2 identical I already tried following. Changed PSU between them, also tried PC 600W brand PSU
Installed separate high flow 12V 12cm fan under printer to cool the mainboard and steppers
Tried print from both SD card and via USB
I tried also both slic3r and cura...same result

Nothing helped...sometime printers stops in the begining, sometimes after 50, 60 %...no rules...in rare cases (about 10% tries) it finishes without problem.

I already lost almost 2 week for this...I suspect either problem with mainboard or this can be firmware issue? Did you receive this same problem description from other customers?

So far I had not any such issues with M201 or i3X...And I build and sold more than 10pcs

Unrelated to this, because those deltas has very long bowden tubes, factory shipped plastic extruder part is not good enough to work without issues. Spring is not etrong enough and it loses grip frequently. I suggest your sales team to deliver adjustable metal extruder in future. Price difference is not more than few USD, and it saves lot of trouble for end users.

The stop is a firmware issue,but i heard they fixed it in the lastest firmware.
Did you download it and upload it?

FW on printer is 1.1.0. A
I saw that this FW on your link is version 1.0.0.1 so it looks older than that on printer.
Please confirm that I need to update this provided on your link.

Firmware on printer was 1.1.0.A
On link you provided version is 1.0.0.1 in bin file.

However I flashed firmware, and it still list version as 1.1.0.A

Can you confirm that this is the right version?

The version "1.1.0 A" may have a wrong name.

Done new FW on both printers..firmware is updated (version page shows new information) but problem is still there on both printer. Print stops at random value...6 prints started in last 24 h...one stopped on 32%, one on 60%, one on 72%, one on 85%, two finished 100%.

Nothing overheats...all extruders are cold, all drivers are cold, CPU is cold...I installed 12cm fan under the board. So it is not overheat. As I said I have 2 printers with same problem.

Does anyone else have same issues?

Please advise further.

Could you tell me how the stopping looks like? Did the LCD reset? How about the fan?
Does it seem like the whole system reset itself or just the motor stops?
If it's just the motor, then I think there maybe something wrong with the motor driver, or there's a poor contact somewhere,
you can re plug all the wires$drivers and see if it will be better.

Hi Toy,

it is not just one motor. All motors stops including extruder. System hangs like it is software issue. Display is normal, I can go trough menu and activate functions but nothing happens. For instance, when print stops, I can go into menu and choose pause printing...it said that is paused but nothing is happening. The I select resume print and also nothing happens. I choose stop printing and nothing is happening. Only thing I can do is to hit reset button.

And this is happening on 2 printers not just one.


Anybody else have similar issues?

Avec la dernière version du micrologiciel "firmware", quel est le numéro de version affiché sur l'écran LCD ?

J'ai reçu mon imprimante le 27 octobre et la version d'usine indique 1.1.0 A.

Est-ce la dernière version ?
