Extruder keeps retracting

Post by Stratman » Sun Sep 11, 2016 11:30 pm

Greetings all, I have assembled an aluminium Prusa i3 but when I try to print it starts ok then part way through the job the filament retracts and then jams. Is there a setting on the control panel that I can adjust to stop this from happening? In my opinion it should only retract about 1mm but this thing is going more like 15mm. Every time I then have to take it appart, clean it etc etc. If any one knows what I am doing wrong then please help, I'm getting very frustrated with this, can't seem to find the right info.

15 mm?Unbelievable...
Did your extruder have a wrong direction?
You can set the value to 0 in Slic3r to disable the restraction:

That was exactly what I did. I set it to zero and tried again but still it did it.
It seems to be random as well! Does anyone know what all the settings are on
the LCD 2004 ?
